Polymorphism Description:  This (AAAT) n tetranucleotide repeat is located in intron 6 of the gene LPL at the 3' end of an Alu sequence.

Allelic nomenclature is related to the number of repeat units, however numeric designation appears to be six fewer than the actual number of repeats.
