Sample Description: This sample consists of unrelated Russians residing at the southwest border of the Arkhangel'sk region of Nothern Russia. This sample was established from a small, relatively isolated population. The area was settled sometime around the 11th and 12th centuries by Novogordians. The population has decreased and increased in size a number of times due to various religious, political, and economical events in the region. Currently, the population has ~900 members.
