Sample Description: This sample consists of Japanese individuals from the Hondo cluster of Islands. The 'Hondo' cluster includes the Japanese main islands other than Okinawa. The islands included in the cluster are Hokkaido (514 individuals), Tohoku (466 individuals), Kanto-Koshinetsu (3978 individuals), Tokai-Hokuriku (358 individuals), Kinki (908 individuals) and Kyushu (628 individuals).This project was approved by the ethical committees at the Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo and the Center for Genomics Medicine, Institutes of Physical and Chemical Research (RIKEN).
