Sample Description: This sample is the subset of the Kidd lab Laotian sample. The Lao Long is the major ethnic group of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (PDR). They are also known as Lao Lum or Lao Loum. They belong to the Tai-Kadai language family and are believed to have migrated from Southern China more than one thousand years ago. This sample was collected on November 8, 2005 by Dr. Hui Li and contains unrelated Lao Long people from all over the country.
