Sample Description: This sample consists of DNA of Yazidi individuals from Northern Iraq. Majority of the individuals in the sample were from Mosul, Erbil and Duhok, Iraq.This sample was collected by Mustafa Dogan (PhD supervisor is Serkan Dogan) at the International Burch University in Bosnia and Herzegovina. DNA isolations from the samples were carried out in Dr.Cemal Gurkan's Turkish Cypriot DNA Laboratory (TCDL), Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus Turkish Cypriot Member Office, Nicosia, North Cyprus, Cyprus. The DNA for this sample was provided to Dr.Kenneth Kidd lab at Yale by Dr.Gurkan.
