ALFRED: allele frequency database
      The ALlele FREquency Database
ALFRED is a resource of gene frequency data on human populations
supported by the U. S. National Science Foundation.

Polymorphism Information

Polymorphism information in ALFRED is presented with:

  • Reference information identifying the locus name, symbol, and any synonyms
  • rs# - dbSNP reference SNP cluster 'rs' ID
  • Allele frequency data summary for the selected polymorphism
  • Multiple data view options
  • Ability to export data in multiple formats
  • External links to other resources such as GenBank, dbSNP, PharmGKB
  • Allele names and descriptions
  • Example: G-784C in CD4 antigen (p55)
